Party
You will find everything you need for your holiday in Davos, but also in Klosters and Glaris.
In Davos there is a supermarket 500 metres away from our group house Waldschlössli. There you will find everything you need for your stay. A bank is also not far away. If someone in the group gets a little injured, there is a pharmacy in Davos. For more serious injuries (which, fingers-crossed, happens to noone of the group) it is best to go to the hospital "Spital Davos". Every described location is also easy to reach from the house Spinabad.
In Klosters you can find a supermarket right next to our accommodation Schweizerhaus. The Raiffeisenbank in Klosters is located in the centre. In the same part of the town there is a pharmacy, which has everything you need in case of emergency. For serious cases, the "Spital Davos" is also easily accessible
Freizeitangebot
There are many possibilities in Davos to arrange your stay according to your wishes. The offer, both action-packed and relaxing activities, is huge.
As a group you also have the possibility to make reservations in Davos at the Färbi sports hall. Here you can book tennis courts for yourself or use a golf simulator.
In the sports centre Davos you will additionally find a football field, an ice stadium or a general training pitch for ball sports. Here you can really let off steam and promote the team spirit of your group. In Klosters you can use the Arena Klosters for similar purposes.
You will find some large playgrounds in Davos as well as in Klosters. For example, the children's playground Silvrettapark in Klosters is very popular. Here the smaller and older children can let off steam. The playground is especially characterised by the handmade wooden figures, which were specially made by a local wood sculptor. The playground Kurpark in Davos also offers guaranteed fun for our little guests.
Sportive activities on site
From Davos you can start directly with the cable cars to many hiking trails. A very popular and easy route starts at the Weissfluhjoch station and takes you over the Strelapass to Schatzalp. This is a pleasant hike where you can enjoy pure nature for two hours. If you want to hike even further, you can use the Thomas Mann Path down into the valley, where several stations will introduce you to the connections of Davos and Mann's literary work "The Magic Mountain". Another recommendable tour with wonderful panoramic views starts at the middle station Höhenweg of the Parsennbahn. From there you choose a short ascent to the Parsennhütte, which invites you to take a rest for a moment. Afterwards you choose the hiking trail to the Gotschnagrat. There the Gotschnabahn cable car will take you down into the valley to Klosters Platz.
One further hike that is definitely worthwhile is the trail from Davos to Glaris. The route takes four and a half hours in total and is a little more challenging, but it is also suitable for children. Along the way you will come across a number of Alps, such as Stafelalp, where artists repeatedly exhibit their works. This tradition can be traced back to the painter Kirchner. All of you who are interested in art will enjoy the time there very much.
The Davos Adventure Park will take you high up to the sky. In the rope park you can choose from a variety of routes with different levels of difficulty. Everyone will be challenged here. Of course the fun is the main focus here!
For a cool down in between, the Davos Lake is the perfect place. The lake reaches 20°C in summer and is therefore perfect for water activities. You can rent various water sports equipment and use it to cruise around the lake. You can try your hand at wakeboarding, or use the time for surfing or sailing.
Also the Arena Klosters offers you numerous possibilities. Enjoy a day in the open-air swimming pool and let off steam on the water slide! The arena also has a football field, which you can use free of charge. A game of tennis is also possible here.
Activities to relax
Just as for action, Lake Davos also invites you to relax. In the lido, the mountain scenery can be viewed particularly well.
The wellness and adventure bath Eau-lá-lá is perfect to spend a relaxing day in Davos. Relax in the saunas or visit the heated outdoor pool and enjoy the beautiful mountain panorama from there.
Anyone who would like to learn more about local customs and traditions can take part in visits, for example, which are offered in large numbers in Davos and Klosters. Worth seeing is for example the Clavadeleralp show cheese-dairy. Here you can expect not only a fantastic view of the mountains, but also an interesting guided tour where you can watch how cheese is made. You can also take part in a brewery tour at the BierVision Monstein brewery. Enjoy a guided tour and a cosy gathering with the brewer.
