Sportclub Victoria Englisch (Standard)

The Sportclub Victoria is centrally located in Morgins and just before the French border to Châtel. From the house it is about 700m to the lift "La Foilleuse", which takes you to the Swiss part of the ski area. To the entrance to the French side "Les Tètes" it is also about 700m. A ski bus stops opposite the house. The village centre of Morgins with some restaurants and supermarket is not far away and can be reached in about 5-10 minutes on foot.

Ausstattung

Plenty of space! In the Sportclub Victoria we have enough space to relax after skiing or to celebrate. Next to the large dining room with fireplace, there is a cosy lounge with sofas and small tables. In the evening you can play table football and table tennis in the games room, have a relaxing drink at the bar or relax in the small sauna.

In addition to our weekly mulled wine party, the party room in the basement is a great place to party and get to know each other.

WIFI is available in the house.

For your winter sports equipment, a ski cellar with boot heating is available. You can book rental equipment through us and pick it up in our partner sports shop in Morgins.

Opposite the house there is a large public parking lot. The house is not barrier-free/handicapped accessible and falls under the category "standard".

Konzept

Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski resorts in Europe! Over 600 km of white expanse in France and Switzerland! Slopes and lifts as far as the eye can see!

The Sportclub offers much, much more: Make yourself comfortable in the lounge, have a drink at the bar, chill out in the reading room, play foosball & table tennis, party in the club in the basement or relax in the sauna. Our team organizes a varied program on site, guides you through the huge ski area and is happy to help with any questions.

We recommend the Sportclub Victoria for winter sports enthusiasts between the early 20s and late 30s, unfortunately it is not possible for under 18s.

The ski pass Portes du Soleil for students, up to 25 years, is included in the price of the trip (for non-students for an extra charge of 20 €). For a ski pass surcharge you can also book a 7 or 8 day ski pass (8 days only possible with own arrival-departure).

At Sportclub Victoria in Morgins you will receive a rich breakfast buffet and a delicious 3-course dinner. In addition, you can prepare your own packed lunch for the slopes. On one evening the kitchen stays cold, then a restaurant visit (hut evening) is planned at your own expense.

Ski pass

The ski pass for students, up to 24 years old, for the entire ski area Portes du Soleil with its more than 600 km of slopes is included in the price of the trip. For an extra charge (from 20 €) you can book the ski pass adults.

Ski courses

We do not offer courses in Portes du Soleil, you can book them at the local ski school.

Rental equipment

You can book cheap rental equipment through us, which will be set up and handed out to you in a local sports store.

Morgins

The typical Valais village of Morgins is located in the Région Dents du Midi, on the Swiss side of Portes du Soleil right on the border to France and has an optimal entrance to the fantastic mountain world. In the cozy village center of Morgins there are cafés, restaurants, stores and with 7 Peaks also its own brewery, where you can spend the ski-free time relaxing and tasting local food. Spend your next winter vacation in Morgins and enjoy the authentic atmosphere of the picturesque ski resort.

Party

The party-loving winter sports enthusiasts among you will find various locations and events in Morgins, where you can find everything from live music to disco sounds. Classic après-ski can be found on the valley descent to Morgins near the Foilleuse lift, where you can end your ski day in the Kuhstall.

If you're in the mood for a special beer, stop by 7 Peaks, the craft beer brewery in the village. There is also a food truck here where you can buy delicious snacks after skiing and try the beer in the bar.

For those of you who prefer a cozy round, you can end the evening with a tasty drink in one of the bars in Morgins.

Freizeitangebot

Those looking for other activities besides skiing or snowboarding will definitely not be bored in Morgins. There is guaranteed to be something for everyone, whether you are an action fan or just want to relax.

More sportive activities on site

Close to our sports club Victoria you will find a sports centre where you can continue to exhaust yourself off the slopes. There is, for example, an ice rink where you can skate a couple of rounds. If you want to spend all your time in the snow, you can take part in a snowshoe hike or enjoy a ride with a dog sled.

Activities to relax

In the vicinity of Morgins there are several thermal baths where you can fully indulge yourself. You can either enjoy your time in the sauna or admire the beautiful mountain view from the heated outdoor swimming pool.

Portes du Soleil

France or Switzerland? Why not both? In one of the largest ski resorts in the world, Portes du Soleil, you can let off steam as a winter sports enthusiast. The ski area links 12 resorts on the Swiss and French sides. The best known are Champéry, Châtel, Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets.

With 220 lifts and over 600 km of slopes, there are no limitations to fun. The possibilities are endless! From beginners to professionals, everybody is sure to get their money's worth.

However, if you want to take some time-out in between, you could stop and relax in one of the cozy huts along the slopes.

If you are looking for a little more action in snowparks or with freeriding, Portes Du Soleil is the place to be.

Skipass Portes du Soleil

The "Portes du Soleil" ski pass covers the entire ski area. This means you can enjoy the full range of skiing in Switzerland and France. Daily variety is guaranteed.

Beginner

Even for beginners, Portes du Soleil is perfect! Not far away from our Sportclub Victoria there is a perfect practice lift "Géant". In addition, there are many blue pistes in the ski area, which can be easily mastered by beginners.

Snowparks

The Portes du Soleil ski area has 30 snowparks and boardercross tracks at your disposal. We particularly recommend Avoriaz, where you will find 5 snowparks and a halfpipe.

Freeriding

Freeriders also have a wide range of activities to choose from. In almost every part of the ski area you will find deep-snow slopes that are sure to challenge you.

Aktuelles Portes du Soleil

A number of newly built lifts and slopes improve your comfort. These include the chair lifts "Des Têtes" and "Brochaux" with the new blue run and the new version of the Zore slope. Also new is the "La Forestière" piste which connects Super-Châtel and Vonnes.

Eigenanreise

Arrival by car

Those of you who want to travel by car to Portes du Soleil can do so easily. From Bern, you can reach the Sportclub in Morgins in about 90 minutes via the A12 and A9. When planning your arrival, please respect our fixed check-in times (usually 15:00 and 17:00 o’clock). Different arrival times can be arranged with us in advance.

There is plenty of free parking for your car opposite to the Sportclub Victoria.

Are you planning to travel with your own bus? No problem! You can also park your bus at the car park of the house after consultation with us.

Arrival by public means of transport

You can reach Morgins easily by public transport. It is best to take the IC to Lausanne from Zurich main station. The journey takes about two hours. From Lausanne station, a Postbus will bring you to your destination at regular intervals. The bus journey takes another hour. The bus stop is almost directly in front of the group house.

For smaller groups, you can join our E&P buses. If you are a larger group, it is possible to book a bus exclusively.
